A wooden bowl of olive wood cut on a lathe, excellent for serving and preparing salads, pairing well with our North African Handmade Olive Wood Spoons. Typically growing in a twisted and irregular manner olive wood has a wonderfully unique grain when carved, and, due to the small sizes of its branches, is often used for smaller utensils such as this one. Care as you would for any other wooden item — wash with hot soapy water, never leave soaking wet and give it a bit of food-safe mineral oil once in a while when its looking thirsty. Please do expect small irregularities in shape and colour, as this is lathed by hand not machine, and olive has a very variable grain. 9cm tall, 20cm diameter with a varying wall thickness between 1.5cm and 2cm approximately. Weighs just shy of 1kg.
