Mora 'Erik Frost' 162 (hooked) wood carving knife
Wood carving knives from Morakniv of Sweden made to the classic Erik Frost 106 and 162 patterns. The 106 has an 82mm tapering blade of laminated steel, combining excellent edge holding ability with robustness and a slight flexibility. The 162 is amongst the most useful of hook knives, with a double sided Ɂ shaped carbon steel blade perfect for hollowing out bowls, spoons, or kuksas. Used obliquely these are sharpened without a secondary bevel as this tends to push the edge out of the work-piece.
