Macrame fair-trade shopper
A macrame made of Jute Corchorus capsularis, a sustainable natural fibre which is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable. The Macrame technique uses the art of knotting strings (rather than knitting or weaving) in patterns. Hundreds of tiny knots combine to create intricate and elaborate patterns. These bags are produced by women in Bangladesh who are members of WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation), combining sustainable development with traditional skills. With a carrier size of approximately 50cm by 40cm.
