Joseph Bull Stoneware Spoon Rest, Salt Glaze
£15.00

A hand-thrown spoon rest to lay spoons or other cooking utensils on during cooking, to protect kitchen surfaces. Wheel-thrown for us by Joseph Bull, a studio potter who trained with Knighton Mill Pottery and the Leach Pottery in St Ives, before establishing his own studio in Wootton, Oxfordshire. Firing in a salt kiln creates a salt glaze, the result of the combination of the firing environment and the introduction of salt into the kiln during the firing, creating a distinctive glaze style. Measures approximately 8cm in diameter.
