Japanese carbon steel slicer hoe
A hand forged carbon steel hoe with a curved blade mounted on a slightly cranked neck to a beech wood handle. An ultra-tough weeder and cultivator, this sharp, angled hoe is used by drawing through the soil towards the gardener, effectively cultivating the soil, and chopping through and removing all weeds in its path. The compact head moves effortlessly between rows of plants, making it great for use on the allotment or in densely-planted beds and borders. Like many Japanese tools these are carbon steel and can rust if left wet or stored damp, and are best lightly oiled if left for extended periods.
