Japanese hammer no.3 (kodzuchi)
Individually hand-forged (and therefore quite variable) small striking hammers from Japan, fitted with smooth, shaped, untreated white oak handles pyrographed with the makers mark. Small but quite heavy for their size the balance of the asymmetrically mounted head transfers the driving force forward with utmost control and a minimal potential for wobble - useful for driving small nails in tight spaces, or especially chisels and gouges for delicate shaping. About 21cm long with a head measuring about 6.2cm by 4cm.
