Marumitsu Buna Ceramic Mug, Ecru

A generously sized mug, with a straight sides and a roomy curved handle, made of rustic red clay and glazed in a layered ecru, perfect for your daily cup of tea or coffee. These ceramic wares are subject to charming variation in the finish of the glaze due to the effects of iron powder during kiln firing. Pairs with  Japanese Ceramic Flared Table Pitcher and Ceramic Coffee Dripper. Made in Aichi Prefecture in Japan by Marumitsu Poterie, established in 1950, who create table and kitchenwares using a diverse range of natural materials (porcelain, stoneware, earthenware and open-fire resistant earthenware). Measures 85mm in diameter (120mm across handle) and 80mm high, with a capacity of 300ml. Microwave and dishwasher safe, but not oven safe.
