Finnish Merino Wool Lightweight 'Tuula' Scarf, Beige
£60.00

A fine merino scarf with a lace-like pattern, woven in Lapua, Finland. Inspired by a Finnish folk song, this scarf is light as a gust of wind, yet still retains heat. The workshops of Lapuan Kankurit are run by a fourth generation weaving family and a mill initially set up by husband and wife Juha and Liisa Hjelt, but now run by their son Esko and his wife Jaana. Whilst the raw merino wool comes from South America, all the yarn is spun and dyed in Europe, with the warping, wefting, weaving, and finishing taking place in Lapua itself. The wool comes from mulesing free production and is processed to meet ÖKO-TEX certification standards. Beige. 60cm by 220cm plus fringes. One supplied.
