A traditional shaped beech wood darning mushroom, with comfortable turned handle, for providing a firm base upon which to carry out the darning of socks and similar items. The curved shape sits well in the heel of a frayed sock, enabling needlework to take place while the sock is held in the correct shape. From the workshops of the Redecker company, established in Germany in 1930. Made in Germany.
