Catalonian triangular hand hoe
A small hoe to be used with a swinging or raking action to dig out and remove weeds in tightly planted borders. Hand produced in Catalonia at the workshops of Cuchillería Pallarès the one surviving knife and tool maker in a town once dotted with small manufacturers. Founded in 1917 by brothers Lluís and Carles Pallarès Canal they are now a third generation family company with a workforce of 15 whose owners and management still split their time between administrative necessity and manual craft production. About 27cm high when stood on its blade, with a blade length of 15cm.
