A traditional brush-cutting hook, fully hand produced and ground in Catalonia at the workshops of Cuchillería Pallarès, the one surviving knife and tool maker in a town once dotted with small manufacturers. Founded in 1917 by brothers Lluís and Carles Pallarès Canal, they are now a third generation family company with a workforce of 15 whose owners and management still split their time between administrative necessity and manual craft production. This billhook has an overall length of approximately 43cm. Made from Carbon Steel, this item should be dried after use and stored in a dry place with a light coating of oil, to protect from rust. The wooden handle will also benefit from treatment with mild every now and then.
