A specially hammered, cranked handled, one-handed weeding hoe, made in Japan. Forged from carbon steel the blade of this hoe has an excellent edge — ideal for slicing through weed roots amidst borders and vegetable beds, shaving weeds at the surface of your yard, or for swinging (carefully) to cut weeds. Chop into the soil and pull towards you, to weed and cultivate simultaneously. About 33cm overall in length, with a blade of 12cm. A comfortable, turned wood handle allows for extended work. To care for the carbon steel, wipe clean after use and store dry, and oil blade and handle regularly.
