Nontron Table Knives with Boxwood Handles, Set of 6
£192.00

A set of six hand made, stainless steel Nontron table knives with turned boxwood handles and wood burned details. The yatagan-styled blade is non-serrated, but is sharp enough to cut through steak and hearty vegetables during a meal. The blade of the knife measures 10cm, with a total length of 20.50cm. Hand wash only. Coutellerie Nontronnaise, or Nontron, bears the name of the village it was founded in the 13th century. Since before the Middle Ages, Gallic people who settled near the waters of the Bandiat River began making the first true French knives. Each piece of cutlery is made by craftsmen trained on the techniques of sawing, shaping, and assembling used by their ancestral forebears making true, heritage pieces that have been cherished for centuries.
