Finnish puukko knife
A classically styled puukko - a kind of general purpose and carving knife from Finland. The archetypal ‘everyday’ knife it is typically used for everything from preparing food, to gardening, to wood and even antler carving. Traditionally made with a masur birch handle and a straight backed high carbon steel blade, hardened to 63-65 HRC, and tempered to 59 HRC to reduce brittle fractures, it is supplied with a long Scandinavian style leather sheath to secure and protect both blade and handle. Overall length about 19cm, with a blade of 8cm. Approximately 23cm sheathed.
