Finnish merino and new wool blanket
£150.00

A thick and soft natural white, merino and pure new wool blanket with stripes and fringes in yarn-dyed dark grey, woven in Lapua, Finland. Created by the skilled artisans at the workshops of Lapuan Kankurit, a fourth generation weavers set in a mill initially founded by husband and wife Juha and Liisa Hjelt, but now run by their son Esko and his wife Jaana. The merino comes from Australia, the wool from South America, whilst all the yarn is spun and dyed in Europe, with the warping, wefting, weaving, and finishing taking place in Lapua itself. All comes from from mulesing free production and is processed to meet ÖKO-TEX certification standards. 60% merino, 40% pure new wool. 130cm by 170cm plus fringes.
