Futae, tin cups
£137.50
A pair of raw cast pure tin (≈99.8%) sake cups, generous shot or small wine glasses, or small tumblers; hand poured, chased, and finished by Nousaku, a traditional founder of bells, chimes, and altarpieces in Takaoka, Japan. The two beakers fit neatly one inside the other making them ideal travel companions, as well as granting them a certain romance. Bright and slow to tarnish tin is thought to sweeten and clarify the flavour of bitter sake or other liquors, and to slow the spoiling of whatever liquids or foodstuffs it might contain.
