Jieldé Signal table lamps
Frustrated at being unable to find dependable, rugged and yet adaptable lighting with which to equip his own workshop, M. Jean-Louis Domecq spent over 10 years developing the Jieldé Standard lamp from drawing to full production in 1952. The Signal, a smaller version of the original industrial lamp, retains its indestructible build quality, and all are still handmade in Lyon, central France, and marked with a serial number for provenance. The Signal SI333 takes E14 bulbs up to 40 watts has a 17cm diameter weighted base, two 30cm arms, and a shade diameter of 10cm. Available in either a clear coated brushed steel finish, or the classic black.
