Antelope chair and bench
Ernest Race achieved national acclaim during the 1950s with his unique, forward thinking furniture designs. The Antelope chair, featured at the Festival of Britain in 1951, reflected the spirit of the age. With its slender steel rod frame and balled feet, the Antelope chair echoed the scientific progress of the era into molecular physics. Almost 60 years on this classic chair is still manufactured in England by the company that bears Races name. Available as a chair or bench, the bench sitting two and measuring approximately 105cm arm to arm.
