Antique parer
Antique parer

An antique 4" Sabatier K paring knife, ground from blanks forged by a smith using a hammer sometime during the 1950s, then left forgotten in some dusty corner of the workshop, only to be rediscovered and finished half a century later. It carries the stamped K mark from that time. These are Canadian style knives with a smaller bolster and have the clearly tapered tangs typical of the hand forged method. Handled in blackened wood, and made from carbon steel. Obviously due to the nature of this product there are very limited supplies, when they are gone they are gone forever.
