The traditional mop head is made from heavy weight 16 ply cotton thread, and is ideal for wet mopping. The bucket from galvanised sheet steel and is equipped with a conical wringer. Both seem more durable and effective (withstanding greater pressure during wringing) than modern plastic and synthetic counterparts despite their seeming ordinariness.
